![]() ![]() When you know that you can listen to your favourite artists on any streaming platform, how do you decide on the best one. I have a few Apple products, so I can talk about the “ecosystem”, if you are extremely bounded to Apple, then go to Apple Music, if you have some devices that are not Apple, just go Tidal, both are great! But tidal is more open for things like computers with Windows, with Apple Music you can say goodbye to HiFi on Windows, if you have audio receivers, Apple Music isn’t even listed on compatible services, but Tidal is and you can play Master tracks with the correct equipment, if you have an external DAC for your phone, Tidal gives you more quality, even Amazon Music gives you more quality, what I hate about Apple Music was the fact that you don’t know if tracks are on HiFi or regular, you get an icon when something is being played with dolby atmos, but not with Apple Lossless/HiFi quality, also the playlists of Tidal, at least for my tastes of metal, blues, rock, jazz, are awesome!! Almost every curated playlist of Apple Music are very mainstream, Spotify is far ahead here, but they don’t have lossless quality audio. Now, almost any song you want to listen to is at your thumbs with Spotify or Apple Music (or one of the others like Tidal, Pandora or SoundCloud). Maybe even Spotify will be alright as long its not too bad of a quality if the catalog is better for me I’ll probably try. Still runin them both, not sure if ill keep themīoth i still haven’t tried nothing else yet. (I wish youtube wasn’t a b**h in sound quality. The cheapest paid Spotify plan is Spotify Premium, which costs 9.99 / 9.99 / AU. but when it comes to old school electronic & trance & techno and basically anything in between THY BOTH LACK … But in the US, you can use Tidal Access, which limits your listening to a selection of tracks curated by Tidal. ![]() Īpple & tidal - have kinda the same amount of collection for me but in different places. (Note that in the video, I misidentify it as MP3, but the two sound very similar. tidal seems to me (just imo) a bittttt less quality at the “HiFi” pack and not by sound so much as it feels that the apple lossless just a bit more “tight”. Apple Music runs at a slightly lower 256kbps, but it uses a better encoding scheme, AAC, than Spotifys Ogg Vorbis. tidal more expensive and if you really want the high quality its even more. Like you can get “lossless” songs for 13 mb which seems to me as a joke. as thy pick your streaming quality by your internet connection. apple download at the bit thy feel like. Apple have this noiseeeee ! Since lossless the wholeeee white static noise of all songs that have it got amplified by 100% no joke. Apple crushes (just the song itself) on you while downloading and streaming at the same time started “tidal HiFi” just now and it’s actually less quality overall (apple wins for the specific tracks that gives more at the same price) but i kinda dont care anymore. ![]()
